What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a very natural state of mind which we all go in and out of everyday. It is the state we go through between being asleep and being awake and visa versa - a daydream state (or altered state of consciousness).
You may often go into it when watching a film, mowing the lawn, driving somewhere on 'automatic pilot' or reading a book - you can come out of it any time you wish
Is Hypnotherapy safe for everyone?
Yes, hypnotherapy is completely safe for everyone, including children. It has no negative side effects (unlike many prescription drugs) and is endorsed by the British Medical Association
Will the hypnotherapist have control over me?
No, the hypnotherapist helps you to go into hypnosis yourself - so you are completely in control at all times.
Will I give away any secrets or do anything silly?
No, you will not do or say anything that you don't want to.
How many sessions will I need?
Clients can have as many or as few as they feel they need but most clients will only need 4 to 5 sessions - these can be taken at one or two week intervals.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes, but only if they want to be, no one can be hypnotised against their will.
Is it possible to stay hypnotised?
No, you will always come out of hypnosis naturally by yourself - just like 'waking-up'.
NB Hypnotherapy should NOT be confused with Stage hypnosis (which is used just for entertainment!)
Hypnotherapy is used entirely for the benefit of the client.
